How to measure a useful comparison
- Before upgrading, record the cash gained and elapsed time in a normal play window. Convert to cash per hour.
- After upgrading, repeat over a comparable window with the same horses and other visible conditions.
- Enter the exact upgrade price and both measured rates. If the after rate is not higher, this model has no break-even point.
For offline earnings, compare two offline windows rather than mixing offline and active play. A capped or changing rate can make a single hourly average misleading.
What the result means
Extra cash per hour = after rate − before rate. Estimated payback hours = upgrade cost ÷ extra cash per hour when that difference is positive. For a hypothetical 1,000-cash upgrade and rates of 100 versus 150 cash/hour, the added 50 cash/hour would recover the cost in 20 hours. These are arithmetic examples, not verified Race Horses prices or yields.
This estimate compares one upgrade under the same conditions. It does not claim a best spending order, include egg costs, predict race wins, or account for unknown offline caps. For individual horse notes, use the horse tracker.
